Sails at Safe Harbour. Sold

12" X 16" Oil on linen Canvas.

The Safe is a mud harbour south of Wexford. The boats are flat bottomed and both the boats and their sails need to be lifted over the mud to the channel from which they sail. I knew the times of the races. I quickly painted in the shapes that the sails made, and then the rest followed.
